Imphal, November 16, 2012: A consultation on value education and sustainable development in Western Ukhrul cum felicitation of MCSCC 2010 successful candidates was held today at Teinern Village, Ukhrul district under the aegis of ZTKL (Western Tangkhul students' union).

IK Muivah, SP (Jail) delivered a lecture on 'The need for refined social and cultural environment in infusing value education.' IK Muivah asserted that education is the only sector one can bank for overall development.

Maintaining that other sectors like health, road communication are important, IK Muivah said education is the basic need for all development to take place in a society.

Three candidates from Western Ukhrul who cleared the MCSCC, 2010 exam � Semmi Ramror (rank 37), K Themreingam Rainam (rank-113) and RS Ransing (rank-102), were felicitated on the occasion.
