Imphal, February 16 2017: A day after the district police destroyed about 100 acres of poppy plantation in the district, personnel and officers of law enforcement agency took a mass abstinence pledge from consuming any form of abusive drugs or narcotics today.

At the event managed by the SP office, all ranks of the force, from the SP to VDF personnel and the traffic police, took a pledge not to use abusive drugs as well as to give their best towards ensuring a drug free Churachandpur.

The pledge was followed by a signature campaign where nearly thousand participants appended their signatures.
