Imphal, May 15, 2013: Coalition Against Drug and Alcohol (CADA) has thanked the team of Thoubal district police led by Inspector A Khelendro Singh, OC of Pallel Police Station who have seized Zarda worth more than Rs 1.52 crores from two vehicles near the gate of Pallel Police Station on 14th May.

With the repeated seizure of intoxicants by Thoubal district police, general detestation against police/commandoes by the people of Manipur would be removed , and it would makes Manipur police more distinguished, a release from CADA said.

It also urged the concerned authority of the state government to conduct investigation sincerely into the case and punish those who are involved in it.

On the other hand, CADA also appealed to state government and police department to strictly monitor around Mao gate, Jiribam gate and Churachandpur area for possible movement of smugglers.
