Thoubal, July 14 2015 : In a daring act, a 3-year-old girl saved her father from being burned to death Monday night at SK Leikai under Wangjing in Thoubal district.

The father and daughter were sleeping together after leaving a burning candle near the bed when some clothes caught on fire.

When the flame started consuming the clothes, the girl shouted and alerted his father who woke up.

Some clothes in his back caught fire.

The father hastily smothered the flames with a blanket thus saving both lives.

The girl was identified as Soibam Chanu.

She is the first daughter of Soibam Kumar and Velentina.
