Many condole death of L Birendrakumar

Imphal, February 12 2018: All staffs of the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur mourned the death of Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Laishram Birendrakumar Singh in a condolence meeting held on February 10 at the conference hall of the Directorate of Art and Culture, palace Compound.

His contribution in the field of Manipuri Folk Music will be remembered by many generations to come, said a statement issued by the Directorate.

Theatre Centre, Manipur too mourned the death of Birendrakumar and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.

Members of the Theatre Centre observed a two minute silence.
