Imphal, July 10 2014: The Hill Land Compensation Demand Committee and Chairmen of the villages which will be affected by the construction of road under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from Tupul to Kasom Khullen conducted held a meeting on July 7 .

Resolution to bring cooperative effort between the HLCDC and ABB was taken during the meeting, said a statement issued by Namjaigai Pamei, Chairman, HLCDC.

The meeting also resolved not to allow the authority concerned to execute the work till the affected land is formally acquired and legal notice is served.

It also said that the Committee and the leaders will visit the construction site regularly while Chairmen of the affected villages must submit their attorney's power and prepare the beneficiaries' list at the earliest.

The resolution also made every affected landowner mandatory to deposit a sum of Rs 500 as security to identify the land ownership and to claim their right for compensatory payment.
