Thoubal, August 06 2015:
Flood Affected Area Development Committee today stated that many families in Thoubal district are facing the aftermath of severe flooding and urged the State Government to provide necessary relief to the affected families.
Around 5000 paris of agricultural land, approximate 200 paris of fish farm and 400 houses have been inundated in Patnarou Loukol, Thumkhong Loukol and Sabal Loukol, a statement said.
Apart from distributing food material to the people by Thoubal DC, no other assistance has been extended so far by the State Government, the organisation added.
