Imphal, October 04 2014 : The State Government has notified that the operation of Sub-section (I) of Section 10 of the Manipur Shops and Establishment Act, 1972 on October 5 (Sunday) will be suspended in respect of all shops and establishments within Imphal municipality areas to facilitate the public for purchasing their requirements for the ensuing Id-Ul-Zuha festival subject to the condition that the employees should be allowed an alternative holiday for the date, according to a notification issued by the Addl Secy (Labour & Employment) .
