Imphal, June 03 2019: In connection with the observation of Meira Paibi Numit, a tree plantation drive was carried out along Panam Ningthou Kangjeibung road in Andro today.

The event was organised by Meira Paibi observation Committee which comprise of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association and Meira Paibi Welfare Association Kangleipak.

All Andro Meira Paibi Association and All Andro Youth Front extended support in making the drive successful.

Leader of the observation committee L Memchoubi said that a number of tree plantation drive has been taken up at different locations of the State under the observation committee.

Memchoubi went on to state that the drive will help lessen the drastic rise in temperature and rapid climate change across the State.
