Thoubal, November 02 2013 : Under the guidance of Thoubal SP, Dr AK Jhaljit Singh,Yairipok police station today disposed off a huge quantity of country liquor and lagao (dice gambling) materials seized from different locations today.

According to Yairipok Police Station OC Pangambam Ranbir, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Ibomcha seized 800 litres of country liquor from one Usham Samananda (34) of Andro Khuman Leikai yesterday.

The police team detected the liquor while checking a DI Tata (MN-01-K-9314) on Ngarian road.

The seized liquor and 58 dice cubes were set on fire publicly today.

Yairipok PS has so far collected excise income of about Rs 4 lakhs in its continued drives started in May this year.
