Imphal, October 31 2014 : Recipient of Dr.Ambedkar Fellowship National Award 2013, Shri Nameirakpam Shanta Singh has donated an area of land to the Manipur Women's Co-Operative Bank, said a release.

He had been working for the upliftment of the women folk and other backward classes of the society.

He was also the state nominee of SAARC Youth Award in the year 2011 for his involvement in fighting against the social ills in the state.

The gifted land is situated at Malom Tulihal area and measures an area of .034 Hectare, added the release.
