Imphal, February 28 2017:
Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) seized several varieties of expired eatable items from two grocery shops at Masjid Road, Paona Bazar today.
According to external affairs secretary of MSF, Ningthoujam Jugeshore, the seized eatable items include jelly, chewing gum, food supplement, soap and glycerine.
Taking serious note of open sale of such expired eatable items that are hazardous to health, he urged the authority concerned to take up appropriate action against the sellers of the items in accordance with the law.
