Imphal, July 30 2022: Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised tree plantation drive at Yeasom, Natjang and Mollen villages in Kamjong district and Khongkham, Maibam & Chingmang villages in Bishnupur district on July 29-30 .

The tree plantation drive was conducted to spread awareness about the importance of environment and soil conservation, said a statement of IGAR(S).

Troops of Assam Rifles along with the villagers planted about 2000 saplings of multiple varieties to achieve the dual purpose of environment protection and soil conservation.
