Meeting for drivers, daily wagers held

Imphal, December 29 2021: A meeting for rickshaw pullers, hard-cart workers, auto drivers and daily wagers/menial workers was organised by Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Manipur Branch at Congress Bhawan on December 26 .

A press statement of INTUC Manipur Branch informed that the meeting which was presided by its president Yumnam Ranapratap was attended by around 300 daily wagers and workers engaged in different occupations.

The attendees also took the decision to form a union collectively for all workers and labourers engaged in different sectors.

The meeting was also attended by INTUC State Branch secretary (organisation) L Subhash Sharma and Women Wing chairperson Th Sobita Devi.
