Imphal, November 27 2011: As has been celebrated over the years, International Mother Association (IMA) organized the 5th Piba Chakkouba at Bamon Leikai Thangjam Leikai today.

President, IMA, Ima Khumanleima stated that there was a tradition of offering feast to their brothers by married sisters in the era of Ibudhou Pakhangba.

The observance was organized to revive this tradition and to strengthen the bond of love between brothers and sisters, she said and urged all communities to stand as one to bring peace and tranquility in the state.

As part of the observance, volunteers of the IMA presented simple gifts to the male (piba) participants after a grand feast.
