Imphal, July 25 2013:
People for Animal, Thoubal rescued a snake from Kakwa yesterday and released the same at a safe place.
According to a statement, yesterday around 7 pm, PFA Thoubal was informed that a big snake was captured at Kakwa.
A team of PFA rushed to Kakwa to find a young Common Cobra (about 3 ft) fixed on a stick by a rope.
One Soram Kumar Singh of Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai said that the snake was found inside his kitchen.
He carefully caught the snake using a pipe and a rope without hurting it.
He then informed PFA so that the snake could be released somewhere, it said.
The venomous snake listed in schedule 2 was released the same day at a safe and far away place.
