AR tends to snake bite patient

Imphal, May 25 2021: Khoupum Battalion of 21 Sector Assam Rifles provided lifesaving medical treatment to a local bitten by snake.

According to a release, one Hoinu (50) wife of Tongthong of Leibom Khunou village was brought to Battalion Headquarters N Khunao around 2:40 pm on Monday after she was bitten by a snake on her right foot.

While examining, the patient was found with two clear fangs mark, severe pain, swelling and redness.

The patient was immediately attended by a medical team led by deputy commandant Deo Kumar and provided with necessary lifesaving medical care by doctor and his team keeping necessary Covid-19 protocols, the release said.

It informed that patient was later sent home with adequate advice of the doctor.
