Beneficiaries reject rice under NFSA

Imphal, June 24 2016 : NFSA beneficiaries of Lousangkhong under Lamlai AC today refused rice under the Act on ground that they were provided 3 kg each of rice against the allotted 5 kg per beneficiary.

They alleged that the rice quota meant for them has been misappropriated by the authority concerned.

The public held a meeting today at the locality.

The locals resolved to surrender their cards to the local MLA Ksh Biren, who is also CAF&PD Minister unless the full amount of rice is given to the beneficiaries within June 27, informed a statement.
