Imphal, February 22 2015: Repairing work of Okram Chuthek-Mangjil section of Khongman-Bashikhong road has begun today at the initiative of MLA Bishwajit.

According to Khongman Environmental Development Organisation (KHEDO) secretary Y Dhakeshore, the locals offered to repair the road after a representation was submitted to the Chief Minister with an appeal to repair the same road.

The road is being repaired using the MLA's private machinery at his own expense.

Th Bishwajit has also assured to construct retaining walls on either side of the Khongman canal, Dhakeshore said.
