Imphal, May 21 2015 : The Sangai Express would like to clarify here that the report regarding the lynching of an innocent civilian by a mob, during the bandh imposed on May 14, was not spelt out in succinct details.

The report may have hurt the sentiments of the Kuki community and it was a big shortcoming on our part to overlook the crucial details of the incident and for this we express our deepest regrets.

Sincere attempts will be made in the future to ensure that such lapses are not repeated.
