Chandel, September 19 2018: The Lambung Youth and Cultural Club, Chandel district has appealed the authorities concerned to take appropriate legal actions against the person involved in the alleged financial embezzlement, misappropriation of public property and maladministration in the distribution of rice and K-oil under NFSA, meant for BPL card holders of Lambung village, Chandel district.

The club has submitted an application to OC, Chandel PS against one FPS agent and some officials for allegedly diverting 405.5 quintals of rice and K oils for BPL families in Lambung village.

It claimed that the club had addressed the matter to DC, Chandel and sought immediate intervention but no actions have been taken up till date.

It alleged that distribution of rice in Lambung centre has been functioning irregularly as rice quotas from the month of July, 2017 to March 2018 have been misappropriated.
