Court summons
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Bishnupur has summoned an accused in fraudulent case to appear personally before the Court on Oct 16 at 10.30 am.
CJM Bishnupur issued an order in this connection on Sept 10 summoning one Oinam Achou (45) s/o Angou of Upokpi Mamang Leikai to appear before the Court on Oct 16.An FIR under Section 409/418/402/120-B of IPC is registered against Achou at Bishnupur PS.
Power shutdown
132/33 KV power substation, Ccpur will be under shutdown from 6am to 12 noon on Sept 20 for repairing of the 132 KV circuit breaker at the substation.
Power consumers of Churachandpur and Moirang subdivision will be affected during the shutdown, informed a statement issued by DGM, SSD-III, MSPCL.

MPCC approves
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has approved the election of Th Joy Lamkang, member, ADC, Chandel as the deputy leader of the INC members of Chandel ADC with immediate effect, according to an order issued by the general secretary, MPCC (i/c district council), Victor Keishing.
Man remanded
The man identified as Chungkham Bobo (26) s/o Ch Indramani of Lamdeng Makha Leikai, who has been arrested in connection with a mob violence, has been remanded to police custody by JMIC Imphal West Court till September 22 .
Body disposal
The body recovered from Tarang hills in Kwarok Maring village of Senapati district on September 16 will be disposed off if nobody comes forward to claim it at RIMS morgue by September 21, said a press release issued by Nongpok Sekmai police station.
It said that the man wears a white coloured shirt striped with brown colour and a whitish long pant.
Village chief clarifies
Taosang village chief (Khunbu) has strongly condemned burning down of six houses belonging to the families of Gonthangmei clan of Taosang Khunou on September 16 .
In a statement, the village chief urged the Government authority concerned, civil society organisations and people of Gonthangmei clan to look into matter and extend relief materials to the victims.
Mid-day meal served to students
4 Assam Regiment of Hqs 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) organised a mid-day meal programme at Khengjoi Govt School on September 17 .
School children were served hot lunch by 4 Assam Regiment.
During the event, students were exhorted to achieve quality education and build up their tomorrow of their own choice.

Three MCS officers of Manipur have been promoted to the rank of IAS officers (Manipur-Tripura cadre) by an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India yes-terday.
The three MCS officers who have been promoted to the rank of IAS are Thokchom Kirankumar, Manomching and Joseph Pauline Kamson.
Ibobi leaves Imphal
Chief Minister O Ibobi today left Imphal for Delhi.
The CM's Delhi tour is said to be related with a call from AICC Central leadership.
