Imphal, May 18 2016: The All Manipur Power Consumers' Association (AMPCA) has submitted a representation to the Manager Director of MSPDCL on May 13 regarding the summons sent to consumers to be present at the office of their respective sub-divisions for clearing of electricity bill arrears and asked the MSPDCL authorities not to inconvenienced the consumers for their failure to collect arrears at the time of prepaid meter installation.

In a statement, the general secretary of AMPCA stated that there is wide difference in generating power bills from divi- sion to division and the company could have collected all the earlier arrears from the consumers before the installation of new prepaid meter connection.

He further stated that the as- sociation is waiting a reply regarding the matter from the MSPDCL authorities.
