Imphal, July 17 2014: Taking serious note over the news report on alleged torture of two young sisters employed as maids by one Linthoi, who is serving as Sub-Inspector of Police in Manipur Police Department; Juvenile Justice Board, Imphal West district has directed the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) of Lamphel Police Station to investigate into the matter and submit a report on or before July 30.The instruction has been reportedly given in exercise of the power conferred to the Board under Rule 10(b) of the Juvenile Justicve (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2007 .
