Imphal, March 17 2015:
The Kuki Chiefs' Association, Manipur (KCAM) today urged the Government of Manipur to hold the Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections on time without any delay.
A statement of the KCAM stated that delaying the ADC elections will not bring any good to the tribals of the State while asserting that the ADC is the only means to bring development in the hill districts.
KCAM will take any attempt to delay the ADC election as a plan to deprive the hill people of their Constitutional rights and privileges, it said.
The KCAM will fully endorse and support any forms of agitation launched by CoPTAM if the Government fails to conduct ADC elections on time.
