Imphal, October 16 2015 : Spt VDF annual firing begins
The annual firing of VDF personnel within Senapati began today at 9 MR Taphou firing ground.

In connection with the annual firing Mlun Kipgen, General Secretary, All Senapati District VDF Welfare Association appealed to VDF personnel to participate in the firing without fail.

He also urged VDF personnel of Senapati to cooperate with the association.

SUK opens new unit
The Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has formed its Churchand Higher Secondary School Unit during a function held at the union head office located at Kwakeithel.

New executive members were also elected for the new unit during the meeting, according to a statement.

Cultural prog
Dayananda Cultural Institute, Chanam Pukhri under the aegis of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India, has organised cultural programmes in various places of Bishnupur district from October 11 till October 15 .

The cultural programmes were based on the theme "Swachh Bharat Mission", "Social Harmony" and "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" .

Power shutdown
11 KV line from Mayang Imphal to Moijing from 33/11 Kv Mayang Imphal substation will be shutdown on Oct 17 from 7am to 4 pm due to re-strengthening and addition of some single pole on Thoubal Leishangthem 33 kv line, informed DGM, MSPCL.

Meanwhile, power consumers of Thangmeiband Wathom I and II transformer will experience power cut from 9 am till 4.30 pm starting from October 17 to October 20 due to stringing of KV cable.

Fees waived off
Following an agreement with the Joint Students Coordination Committee, Shishu Nistha Niketan, Kwakeithel Mayai Koibi has also decided to charge only 30 percent of the tuition fees for the months of July and August.
