Imphal, May 15, 2013: A seminar on Duties and Responsibilities of the drawing and disbursing officers and e-filing of TDS statements under the Income Tax Act 1961 and Income Tax Rules, 1962 was held today at the Counting Hall of Thoubal DC office.

The programme was organised by the Commissionerate of Income Tax (TDS), NER, Guwahati in association with the District Administration, Thoubal.

The aim of the seminar was to provide knowledge to the DDOs about the use of software for e-filing of periodic returns and statements, informed a statement.

The seminar was inaugurated by T Ranjit Singh, DC Thoubal.

The resource persons were Upendra Nahakpam, ITO, Ward-I and Sumit Purkayastha, ITO (Tech), NER Guwahati.
