ATUM demands
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, July 14 2015 :
Aimol Tribe Union Manipur (ATUM) has demanded that Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam step down owning responsibility for the death of Sapam Ronbinhood.
In a statement, ATUM expressed concern over imposing repressive policies instead of inviting the JCILPS executives for talks to bring a solution to the current issue.
ATUM further said that unchecked influx of non-locals has posed serious threat to the indigenous people of the State.
It further said that it is unfortunate on the part of the Government to impose curfew and press security forces into action to control the ongoing agitation.
