19 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR(South) organised a day long free medical camp at Changjal on March 12.The aim of this medical camp was to provide free medical treatment to the needy local populace of the village at their door step, said a press release from PRO IGAR (S) .
The camp elicited an overwhelming response and a large number of villagers turned up for treatment.
A total of 74 patients including 31 female, 17 children and 36 male patients were rendered free medical aid during the camp.
Free medicines and ECG were also provided to them.
The locals expressed their gratitude and appreciated such noble projects being undertaken by 19 Assam Rifles for the welfare of the locals, it added .
