Imphal, September 13 2019: Regional Pengba Tenal Fish Farmers' Committee Haotak Pat, Kumbi has appealed the State Government not to allow outside company to take up projects at the Regional Seed Farm Haotak Pat, Kumbi.

Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club, today, secretary of the committee, Wahengbam Panchmani Meetei said that the farm is run by nearly 35 fishermen on lease since 2011.Stating that several fishermen will be affected if the Government allowed Tamil Nadu based company 'Organic Livestock Innovation' to take up project at Haotak Pat, he urged authorities concerned to shift the project to other places.

He further appealed the State Government to reduce the annual fee Rs 23,000 of the farm to Rs 11,500 as water scarcity has affected the farmers this season.
