Imphal, January 13 2015: Lt Gen Bipin Rawat, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, GOC 3 Corps donated two Solar Street Lights to Chingningkok Village, four computer sets to Andro village and utility items i.e.three solar street lamp, one LED TV, eight plastic Chairs, two plastic tables and six mosquito net to RUSA (Rural Service Agency), district Imphal East in a ceremony organised by 30 & 40 Assam of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) at Mantripukhri garrison on 13 Jan 2015 .

Speaking on the occasion, General Officer lauded the support of people of Manipur to the Assam Rifles in restoring the normalcy in the area and said that the provisioning of solar lights, computer sets and utility items to the villages will indeed go a long way in uplifting the living standard and will facilitate effective and constructive use of time.

Assam Rifles have always been undertaking various development projects to obviate the problems of the locals and also resuscitate the sub optional state of existing facilities in the erstwhile insurgency inflicted state.
