Imphal, June 12 2021: In a bid to promote the 'Go Green Initiative', Mantripukhri and Keithelmanbi Battalions under the aegis of IGAR(South) organised a tree plantation drive in the vicinity of Imphal from June 9-12 .

The tree plantation drive was conducted with an aim to control global warming, environment pollution and spread awareness on the importance of a clean environment, said a statement of IGAR(S) .

As part of the initiative, saplings were planted by the troops of Assam Rifles.
