AR celebrates World Population Day

Imphal, July 11 2024: Assam Rifles on Thursday celebrated World Population Day with outreach programmes in Chandel and Kakching districts.

In Chandel, 128 villagers from New Samtal, Albol Joupi, Sehlon, and Phaisanjang participated in a health and awareness event.

The programme included a lecture on family planning, contraceptive methods, as well as a medical camp that provided essential services to pregnant women and children.

In Kakching, students from ARPS at Kakching and Phundrei educated the community about the disadvantages of population explosion and the benefits of controlled population growth, said PRO IGAR (S) .
