Imphal, August 10, 2014: Lions Club of Thoubal, Lioness Club of Thoubal, LEO Club of Thoubal, LEEPUN Wangjing, IRE Groups of Institutes and Foundation for Healthy People, Manipur jointly carried out a saplings plantation drive at the complex of IRE Groups of Institute, Wangjing today.

Speaking at the occasion, Lions Club of Thoubal President Narengbam Rajivkumar said, the saplings plantation programme was taken up as an initiative based on the yearly plantation programme of Lions Club.

Over 250 saplings of different trees like mango and guava were planted during the programme.

In another occasion, Changangei Gram Panchayat Pradhan Laishram (O) Roma and its Ward Members together with Changangei Youth Clubs launched a mass saplings plantation drive from today.

Around 1000 saplings of various kinds were planted in an around the Gram Panchayat today.
