Imphal, January 08 2014: The 13-day workshop cum training on Innovative Design of Personal Jewellery and Ornaments for Women came to an end today with a valedictory function at CMCSP Ltd Complex, Khurai Thongam Leikai.

The valedictory function of the workshop cum training programme was attended by Govindas Konthoujam, Minister (Commerce and Industries); MLA Ng Bijoy Singh, Chairman, Manipur Pollution Control Board and H Ginjamang Simte, Director (Sericulture) as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking at the occasion, Govindas Konthoujam urged the gatherings to stop considering Govt job as the only service while encouraging the gatherings to start entrepreneurship for livelihood sustenance.

He also called upon all concerned to cultivate work culture.

The Minister further noted that although artisans of the State have the skill to develop various products, the same could not contribute for betterment of the economy due to lack of work culture.

50 trainees have registered participation in the workshop cum training programme.
