Imphal, July 06 2013 : Thoubal District Police Commandos have arrested a cadre of PLA from Kakching Khunnou Awang Leikai and recovered some arms and ammunition from his possession during a search operation today.

The arrested PLA cadre has been identified as Nongmaithem Norendro Meitei alias Ibungo alias Bener (37), s/o N Shangaijao Meitei of Kumbi Thingel Leikai.

One 9mm Pistol along with four live rounds of ammunition and two mobile handsets (Nokia) with four SIM cards were reportedly recovered from the arrested PLA cadre, according to a statement issued by SP Thoubal.
