Imphal, December 03 2017:
Leaders of BJP Manipur Pradesh have been reportedly contemplating legal action against Kangleipakki Meira Editor W Shamjai for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the party's general secretary (Administration) S Saratkumar and spokesman RK Shivchandra during a panel discussion programme of ISTV network about VIP culture on November 24 .
Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office today, K Saratkumar and RK Shivchandra said that W Shamjai referred to K Saratkumar as kwak (crow) Sarat during the panel discussion programme .
"The remark was defamatory and we condemn it", they said .
They said that VIPs have their own protocol and allocation of security escorts to a man or woman is done by the Home Department after examining the degree of threats perceived .
None of the participants of the panel discussion programme are the authority to allocate security escorts .
"However if security escorts allocated to us are withdrawn on account of W Shamjai's remarks, he should be held responsible for any untoward incident that might happen to us", Saratkumar and Shivchandra said.
