Imphal, July 02 2013: Under the sponsorship of Manipur AIDS Control Society and State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur, a blood donation camp was jointly organised by Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur; Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei and Department of Immunohaematology & Blood Transfusion, RIMS at MPTC, today. Altogether 123 volunteers from 8th Batch of Manipur Women Police Constables, entire women of 9th Indian Reserve Battalion, who are undergoing training at MPTC, Pangei and others donated blood during the camp.

Among the donors, there were in 110 female which is the highest number of female donors in a single camp in the history of voluntary blood donation movement in the state.
