Imphal, February 02 2016: A new record was created by Manipur Postal Department for the first time by covering 757 persons with new policies under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) scheme in a special campaign organised in Mayang Imphal recently, conveyed a press release.

During the camp, 53 recurring deposit accounts and 42 savings bank accounts were opened on the spot.

Director (Posts) Vinod Kumar inaugurated the camp as president while Hayel Hangoon Gram Panchayat Pradhan Md Sikander Ali was the chief guest and Mayang Imphal police station SDPO M Rameshwar was the guest of honour.

Manipur College Principal Dr Rheizuddin Sheikh was also present as special invitee.

Speaking at the gathering, Vinod Kumar congratulated Md Riyajuddin, IPO 3rd Sub-Division for successfully setting a new record by mobilizing 757 people within a short period (December 20, 2015 -January 30, 2016) .
