MSPDCL has informed the power consumers of 11 KV Heirangoithong feeder that there will be no power supply between 8 am to 5 pm from September 2 to 9 due to maintenance works.
AMWSRDS
All Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj (AMWSRDS) has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of stoking mistrust and misunderstanding among different communities of the North East by signing a peace accord with a Naga militant group on Aug 3 .
In a statement, AMWSRDS said not a single inch of Manipur's territory should be lost.
And the State's territory should not be affected by the peace deal.
Intl overdose awareness day
Manipur Network of Positive People (MNPP) observed the 2015 International Day Overdose Awareness Day at Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai by paying floral tributes to those who died of HIV.
Recovery Alliance executive member S Loken; Help Lines general secretary Laishram Kapil, Yaiskul and Manipur Network of Positive People treasurer L Deben Singh attended the observance.
SYPO condoles
Sagolband Young Pioneers' Organisation (SYPO), Sagolband Mabudhou Mantri Leikai has condoled the demise of Heigrujam Basanta Meitei, founder member of SYPO who passed away yesterday.
Members of SYPO observed a two-minute silence to show respect and honour to the departed soul.
The members also shared the grief of the bereaved family members.
Jiribam Govt Hr Sec condoles
Jiribam Government Higher Secondary School condoled the sudden demise of its student Aheibam Devlin Singh by observing two-minute silence in remembrance of the deceased.
Aheibam Devlin Singh of standard XII (Sc), passed away on August 27 following a health problem.
NCP Secy
MLA L Ibomcha has been appointed as a National Se-cretary of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) .
Moreover, NCP President Sharad Pawar has assigned Ibomcha independent charge of Meghalaya and Nagaland State units of NCP with immediate effect.
A notification to this effect was issued by NCP National General Secretary Tariq Anwar on August 20 .
One electrocuted
A youth was electrocuted today morning at the bank of Keibung Wangma Thoubal river in Thoubal district.
The deceased has been identified as Jamir Khan alias Ibungo (24) s/o Mv Kamat Jamal of Chongtham Nungei.
Police retrieved and deposited the body at JNIMS morgue.
Home Secretary
The Prime Minister has approved the appointment of Rajiv Mehrishi, IAS (RJ:1978) Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance as Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of two years with effect from today.
He succeeds L.C.Goyal.
The Prime Minister has also approved the request of L.C.Goyal, IAS (KL:1979) seeking voluntary retirement from Government service due to personal reasons with immediate effect.
