India Today to felicitate Govt of Manipur

Imphal, October 30 2012: The weekly magazine India Today has decided to felicitate Government of Manipur for the State's distinguished record of lowest Infant Mortality Rate in the country (IMR) .

According to a report submitted by the Registrar General of India to the Health Ministry, Manipur and Goa share the same position of having the lowest IMR at 11 per one thousand.

On behalf of the State Government, Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing and Principal Secretary (Health) Ram Muivah would receive the award at a function scheduled to be held at New Delhi on November 1 .
