Eagle rescued

Imphal, December 28 2019:
A crested serpent eagle was rescued by a villager at Toubul Makha Leikai today.
The eagle was being chased by crows when it landed near the house of Yanglem Bishwarchandra.
He rescued the bird and handed over it to volunteers of Wildlife Explorers Manipur.
The bird was later released at a safe place, said sources.
The crested serpent eagle (Spilornis cheela) is a medium-sized reptile eater found across
tropical Asia.
