AR organises 'Project Asha'

Imphal, March 27 2021:
In continuous striving for improvement and upliftment of the society, troops of Singhat Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Churachandpur sector organised "PROJECT ASHA" in mata village of Churachandpur district in Manipur.
The objective of this project was to enhance the living standards of Nehru bal Bhawan(CNBB) and Themnu Old Age Home, Mata village.
In addition to that a medical camp was also organised for both the institutes .
This was a small step taken by Assam rifles to provide them a conduicive environment to make them feel at home.
Both the institutes are run by SHARE (social human action for rural empowerment) a govt recognised NGO based on Tiddim road, new Mata Village in Churachandpur District.
Assam rifles provided them with commodities such as LED TV, room heaters, solar lamps and stand fans to meet their basic needs of day to day life.
This gesture was appreciated by SHARE, NGO and the locals.
