Imphal, May 24 2018: 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of IGAR (South) saved the lives of two snake bite victims on 23 May 2018 .

The victims Mr Tamreiyo MS son of Mr Thomas MS of Khamasom village, Ukhrul District and Mr Chanreiso VS son of Mr Malungrin VS of Razai village, Ukhrul District were bitten by snakes and were immediately rushed to the unit hospital.

The victims were readily attended by the medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer, Captain Ashish Sharma.

Timely administration of anti-venom and life saving drugs by the Battalion's medical team not only saved precious human life but also reinforced good faith among the locals.
