SF apprehends UNLF cadre

Imphal, December 22 2020: Combined team of Assam Rifles and Police Commando, Thoubal apprehended a cadre of the UNLF at Langthabal of Thoubal district in Manipur on December 20 .

A press statement of the Assam Riffle said that Based on specific intelligence about the presence of an UNLF insurgent in the area, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Police Commando, Thoubal launched an operation in Langthabal and apprehended a Self Styled Lt of UNLF identified as Saikhom Anil Meitei @ Anouba, resident of Heirok, Thoubal.

Myanmar Kyat 30,800 were recovered from the apprehended insurgent.

The cadre along with seized currency were handed over to Police for further investigation.
