Imphal, May 21 2015 : The names of two Courts - District and Sessions Judge, Manipur East and Manipur West have been changed to District and Sessions Judge, Imphal East and District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West respectively.

An order was issued by the Law and Legislative Affairs, Manipur Govt to this effect on May 16 .

While District and Sessions Judge, Imphal East will cover Ukhrul district, Chandel and Tamenglong districts will come under the jurisdiction of District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West, as per the order.
