Imphal, January 20 2013 : A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border PS arrested a woman with 14 gm of banned heroin powder from Hatta Minuthong area at around 10.30 am today.

The woman has been identified as Rabia alias Nanao (35) w/o Md Abdul Sammat of Sora Maning Leikai of Thoubal district.

Initial investigation revealed that the heroin was brought from Moreh and destined to spread in the markets of Manipur, said a press release issued by Officerin-Charge of Narcotics and Affairs of Border PS Ma-nipur, RK Bikramjit Singh.

He also appealed the general public not to indulge in such illegal trade and stay alert to curb the menace.

Saying that such raids would continue in future as well, the OC urged all to co-operate the police to curb drug abuse.
