Imphal, September 19 2015 : Gamnom-Pusing road of Ukhrul district still remains cut off after multiple landslides blocked the road in the month of August.

Pusing village headman AS Yanglung told The Sangai Express that Mapum, Zing-shui, Luishal, Sahamphung, Loni, Matiyang, Chammu, Khayang and Kachouphung villages still remain cut off from the rest of the State.

People of these villages have been transporting essential commodities on foot.

Some vehicles have also been stranded in between unable to move either way.

The headman sought immediate attention of the Government to restore the road at the earliest in view of the ever multiplying woes of villagers.
