Imphal, September 18 2013: The Manipur Central Jail authority has acknowledged the donation of valuable books by book lovers and donors in setting up a new library in Sajiwa Jail.

So far a total of 815 books have been donated for the library, according to a statement issued by Sr SP (Jails), IK Muivah.

The donors included Justice RK Manisana, former Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Retd Lt Col Biramangol Singh Oinam, Director of NIPM, Tirupati, Prof KK Das of MU, Irom Sharmila Chanu, L Nongyai Meetei, Asst Prof Kham-khotinsei Touthang, Ch Man- glem Meetei, Gideon's International, RK Naoria, I Bhumi- chandra (author), A Thoithoi Sharma (author) along with many anonymous donors.
