Imphal, July 17 2024: An unknown miscreant placed a hand grenade at the residence of one Dr Wahengbam Nimai at Lairenjam Awang Leikai under Wangoi police station, today at around 6.30 pm.

Dr Nimai is Principal of Kamakhya Pemton College (Government aided) .

It is reported that the miscreant fled from the area after placing the bomb on a table which was kept near the staircase of the house.

Dr Nimai was at the college at the time of the incident.

The bomb has been picked up by Imphal West police.
